History Presentation Rubric – Grade 7

1. Content Accuracy (0–4 points)

  • 4: All information is accurate, relevant, and clearly connected to the historical topic. Shows good understanding.
  • 3: Mostly accurate information with only minor errors. Shows general understanding.
  • 2: Some information is correct, but there are noticeable errors or missing details.
  • 1: Many errors; limited understanding of the topic.
  • 0: Content is incorrect or does not address the topic.

2. Organization & Structure (0–4 points)

  • 4: Presentation has a clear introduction, well-structured body, and strong conclusion. Ideas flow logically.
  • 3: Mostly well organized; some ideas may be slightly unclear.
  • 2: Organization is weak; ideas may feel disconnected.
  • 1: Very disorganized; difficult to follow.
  • 0: No clear structure.

3. Use of Visual Aids (0–4 points)

  • 4: Visuals are clear, relevant, and support the presentation effectively.
  • 3: Visuals are useful but may be simple or minimally explained.
  • 2: Visuals are present but do not clearly support the content.
  • 1: Visuals are confusing, irrelevant, or hard to see.
  • 0: No visual aids used.

4. Oral Communication (0–4 points)

  • 4: Speaks clearly, confidently, and at an appropriate pace; excellent pronunciation.
  • 3: Mostly clear; occasional hesitation or pronunciation errors.
  • 2: Often unclear or too fast/slow; noticeable pronunciation issues.
  • 1: Hard to understand; mumbles or reads without engagement.
  • 0: Does not speak or presentation is inaudible.

5. Engagement & Delivery (0–4 points)

  • 4: Maintains eye contact, uses gestures, and engages the audience.
  • 3: Some eye contact and engagement; delivery is generally good.
  • 2: Limited engagement; relies heavily on notes.
  • 1: Very little engagement; reads entirely from notes.
  • 0: No engagement.

6. Teamwork (if applicable) (0–4 points)

  • 4: All members participate equally and collaborate effectively.
  • 3: Most members participate; collaboration is good.
  • 2: Unequal participation; some teamwork issues.
  • 1: One person does most of the work.
  • 0: No teamwork shown.
