El castillo / The Castle
- English: The castle was the active center of the fiefdom and a safe refuge with thick walls on high ground. It was a fully self-sufficient home filled with busy workshops, wells, and storerooms. At night, warm fireplaces and bright torches lit up the spaces where the lord’s family and servants lived together.
Los campesinos / The Peasants
- English: Peasants spent their days working outdoors, with the whole family sharing the farm tasks. They cleverly used crop rotation and left land fallow to keep the soil healthy for good yields. Through subsistence agriculture, they grew their own daily food, harvesting fresh cereals, vegetables, and legumes.
- Español: Los campesinos pasaban el día trabajando al aire libre, compartiendo las tareas agrícolas en familia. Usaban de forma inteligente la rotación de cultivos y el barbecho para mantener el suelo sano para sus cosechas. Mediante la agricultura de subsistencia, cultivaban sus propios alimentos, recolectando cereales, verduras y legumbres frescas.
